Subject:  House Vote to Repeal Internal Revenue Code

          four years hence

Dear Representative Campbell:

I am writing once again, before you or your staff have had a chance to reply to my recent letter concerning the legal status of Title 26 of the United States Code.

By browsing the Internet, I recently discovered a Press Release which reports that, in June 1998, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to repeal the Internal Revenue Code four years hence.  See attached Press Release, which you may also find at Internet URL:

http://www.supremelaw.com/press/rels/killirc.htm

Can you please provide me with an exact copy of the Bill which was approved by the House?  Also, I would appreciate your help in locating and obtaining copies of any committee hearings and reports which were published on that Bill, while it was being reviewed by the appropriate House committee.

Would that have been the Committee on Ways and Means?

It would help to know who authored this Bill, so that I may contact the author(s) to determine their stated reasons for it.

Representative Campbell, thank you again for your consideration.

Sincerely yours,

/s/ Don Wishart
