Subject: Lies to Obstruct an Ongoing Criminal Investigation

Dear Chief Executive Officer:

I am writing to complain specifically about the deliberate falsehood which was communicated to the technical staff of Yahoo Internet email services by Lee Marks.

For over a year now, we have been investigating a widespread conspiracy to infringe my exclusive copyrights in "The Federal Zone: Cracking the Code of Internal Revenue." Upon being discovered, many of the suspects and other guilty parties have retaliated by fabricating lies to the various Internet service providers which we have utilized to conduct this investigation.

In some cases, these service providers have made the mistake of believing everything they have been told by these violators, without even asking for our side of the story. As a direct consequence of such lies, our email privileges have been abruptly discontinued, resulting in the permanent loss of valuable email messages which are archived on the Internet.

Now that our investigation is reaching its inevitable conclusion, we find it necessary to inform the affected party(s) of the severity of these falsehoods, and to escalate the matter by emphasizing the issues of consequential and punitive damages.

Please be advised that, if anyone in your organization should fabricate a lie to any of the Internet Service Providers ("ISP") which we are utilizing to conduct this investigation, and if such a lie should result in the loss of any email messages which belong to us, and which constitute material evidence admissible in a court of law, we will have no alternative but to hold the guilty party(s) fully liable for all actual, consequential, and punitive damages that result from such criminal acts.
