  • Nominated for and accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates in 1994
  • Speaker on Continuing Education of the Bar programs
  • While practicing law, member of the California State Bar, Federal District Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal
  • Member of the John Lewis King Scholarship Committee, which provides scholarships to law students

Judicial Experience

  • Appointed by the Governor to the California Superior Court in 1995
  • Served as a member of the Administrative Committee of the San Bernardino County Coordinated Courts for two years, as well as the Superior Court Appellate Division
  • While on the superior court, handled long cause and fast track civil litigation. Also handled criminal and probate calendars, as well as family law matters
  • Appointed by the Governor as an Associate Justice with the Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Two in 2003
