Hon. Donald W. Molloy, Chief Judge for the U.S. District Court for Montana, practiced law in Billings from 1978 to 1996. He became District Judge in 1996 and has served as Chief Judge since 2001. Judge Molloy earned his law degree, with high honors, from the University of Montana in 1976 and clerked for U.S. District Court Judge James F. Battin for two years. Judge Molloy is a past president of MTLA and a former U.S. Navy Lieutenant. He served as a member of the MBA Ethics Committee and as chair of the Montana Joint State and Federal Judicial Council Meeting.
