If we fail to give ourselves totally to God's will, and I am one of the worst offenders for holding back a little bit here or a little bit there, we are saying in effect that an Omnipotent and Omniscient Creator is somehow less capable than we, to take care of all our essential needs. There is no small amount of pride at work in such a mistaken belief. This reservation is an indication that our faith is still less than perfect. As I say to certain people when the occasion arises, try imitating Christ for one whole year. I truly expect that our lives will be entirely different at the end of that year -- different from what we were at the start of that year, and different from where we would have been, had we not made that commitment in the first place. Try it! You will have nothing of any consequence to lose, and everything of any consequence to gain. Do you remember that famous quote from O.J. Simpson's attorney, Johnny Cochrane, during the preliminaries: "So far, there has only been one Perfect Man." /s/ Paul Mitchell http://www.supremelaw.com At 12:34 PM 7/26/97 -0500, you wrote: > > >---------- >From: Ron Harper <RonHarper@xc.org> >To: conchr-l@xc.org >Subject: CONCHR Job interview treatment >Date: Saturday, July 26, 1997 4:32 AM > >BTW I haven't received a response yet but intend to send a letter >registered mail in a week say that the invoice was not paid! : ) > >***************************************** > >Love it!
