For details, read: "Juries in Check Around the Nation" -and- "State Citizens Cannot Vote" in the Supreme Law Library, at the URL just below my name here. Those who are qualified to serve in Congress, or the White House, cannot render verdicts or issue indictments. And those who can render verdicts and issue indictments, cannot serve in Congress (House or Senate), nor serve in the White House. This result is absurd: reductio ad absurdum. See the Qualifications Clauses, in particular, and the proper construction of these Clauses in Ex parte Knowles, 5 Cal. 300 (1855). /s/ Paul Mitchell http://www.supremelaw.com At 01:04 AM 8/30/97 -0400, you wrote: > >--------------------- >Forwarded message: >From: freematt@coil.com (Matthew Gaylor) >To: freematt@coil.com (Matthew Gaylor) >Date: 97-08-29 21:47:30 EDT > >From: Jury Rights Project <jrights@darkstar.cygnus.com> >Subject: Nightline transcript available > >Transcript available - Nightline on Jury Nullification > >ABC Nightline >Tuesday, August 26, 1997 >Topic: Jury Nullification >America In Black And White (Part I) >Race And The Criminal Justice System > >Transcript: > www.abcnews.com/onair/nightline/html_files/transcripts/ntl0826.html > > Or email jrp for the text of the transcript (long.) > >Guests: Paul Butler, law professor, George Washington University > Randall Kennedy, law professor, Harvard University > Reggie Walton, Washington D.C.
