This FAT will support very large hard disks, with a single letter partition ("C:"). Combined with a fast SCSI-II or SCSI-III controller, you are talking very high-speed I/O; Seagate and IBM both offer 9GB drives which spin at 7200 rpm. At present, Windows 95 Version 950b is only available on OEM machines. No estimate on its general availability as an upgrade over-the-counter. I assume that DRVSPACE will work transparently with this 32-bit FAT; thus, using sequential files, a 9GB goes to 14GB (+ or -) with an average compression ration of 50%, all within a single letter drive, e.g. "C:>". Accordingly, look for: C:\FREEDOMS in the near future, at URL: http://www.supremelaw.com The code word is "Windows 95, Version 950b". Enjoy! /s/ Paul Mitchell ==================================================================== [Text is usually formatted in Courier 11 non-proportional spacing @] [65-characters per line; .DOCs by MS-WORD for MS-DOS, Version 5.0B.] Paul Andrew Mitchell, B.A., M.S., email address: pmitch@primenet.com ship to: c/o 2509 N.
