Subject: SLS: USPS research project

Hello Clients,

I would like to do a linear regression
on two time-series:

1. changes in consumer price index (CPI)
before and after USPS went private

2. changes in first class postage
before and after USPS went private

My hypothesis is that the average rate
of change in first class postage has
increased faster than the CPI,
particularly after USPS went private.

Anybody wanna help?

This would be powerful data in any federal
court. The USPS is a domestic corporation,
which financed its "privatization" by
selling bonds to you-know-who, and giving
you-know-whom a lien on future postal revenues.

Would it be any wonder, then, if the changes
in first class postage have increased faster
than the consumer price index?
