Time: Fri Nov 15 18:59:01 1996 To: joseph.d.robertson@nhmccd.cc.tx.us,bonnie.christian@mail.nhmccd.cc.tx.us From: Paul Andrew Mitchell [address in tool bar] Subject: more good stuff Cc: Bcc: Dear Dale & Rebecca: More often than not, these problems stem from incompatible email software, and their respective defaults for encoding methods. I am using Eudora Pro Version 2.2(16) on a Pentium running DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11. I can encode with the following: 1. BinHex (default) 2. MIME 3. Uuencode Since you could not run PKUNZIP, I am guessing that you default to a different encoding. Let me know which one you would like next, and I will send all files in .ZIP format on the next round. Also, the .EXE files which I sent to you (if any), simply need to be copied to new DOS directories, and executed by entering the filename(s) at the DOS prompt e.g. C:\JURYCHAL.DIR> jurychal.exe We should probably diagnose by having me send you my copy of PKUNZIP.EXE, in all three formats. Then, you can test this program easily by invoking it with /? e.g.: C:\DOS> pkunzip /? This will display instructions on-screen. Also, please list the files which gave you troubles. Okay? /s/ Paul Mitchell attaching PKUNZIP.EXE with MIME encoding At 04:04 PM 11/15/96 -0600, you wrote: >Paul: > > >I'm sitting here with the lab tech and she is going to ask a few >questions respecting the ziped files you sent over last evening.
