They paid for full-page ads several
years ago, criticizing the federal
income tax.  The ads stated that the
16th amendment had been "enacted."
I wrote to the director of the
Religious Technology Center and 
explained that there was an historical
error in their ad, because the 16th
was never really ratified.  I had to
write a second letter, when the first
one was ignored.  My second letter was
answered by a secretary, sternly demanding
that I cease all communications with 
the director.  What was really interesting
about the letter was the letterhead:
expensive cotton bond, with a gold-embossed
logo at the top, shaped in a pyramid shape,
with other symbols orbiting around the
pyramid.  I showed this letter to a friend,
without prompting him in any way.  I merely
asked, "What do you make of this?"  His
IMMEDIATE response was:  "Masonic!"
To this day, I still agree with him.
