: : : : As far as we know, all granting in the form of land patents was done by the federal gov't. If you want to know what the original patent on your land says, write or phone your nearest BLM office, and follow directions.

Interstingly, two were for Mexican Grant lands under the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and the other was a Railroad Patent. Of the first two, one covers the lands, the other covers the lands and all improvements thereto.

In the state of washington, if you wish to have allodial title to your land, all you have to do is follow the state statutes. First of all, you must have no Social Security Number, Driver's license, Voter registration card, etc that would make you legally disabled under 28 USC 3002(15)(C). Then you follow RCW 65.12.220 - .245
The land must be paid for, free and clear. You must have legal capacity for owning land. You must follow the same state statutes that were followed to give the land to the state if you are to regain title.
That is all there is to it.
