Texas was as much a part of the Confederacy as New York was part of the Union. There is no shame in the fact that we lost the war. The Confederacy formed the greatest fighting force that the world has ever known and it only lost because it faced a numerically superior and industrialized foe. I dont have any desire to separate Texas from the rest of the South...i love it all
