Did not the former States now STATES codify their constitutions and law or write new STATE constitutions after the 1861-65 war?
The 1849 California constitution is a dead letter.
What this means is that the former California State or California Republic does not exist so there can be no California State Citizens.
A Republic of the People can not join the UNION created by LINCOLN and those who followed him.
This would be a misjoiner of law.

The California Jural Society is a very good
source of law + legal information as compared to Patriot-Militia type sources although I would say that they do slant the truth in their favor and omit a whole lot of Christian history.

I recall a book a flea market about CALIFORNIA GOV. dated around 1953 that had a picture of the official "STATE OF CALIFORNIA" flag and it was blue and displayed or flown in the Governors executive office. Have you checked out the gold fringed California Republic Flag?

Just what year was this case of:
: People v. De La Guerra, quoted in the book
: "The Federal Zone."

The law changed after the 1861-65 war.
