If you choose to believe that there was some conspiratorial aspect at work, then go to the link below. I have known a few masons, and they were decent, honorable men. That does NOT mean I know all about them or endorse them. The founders, almost to a man, knew they would pass away well off, with their children provided for. Yet they chose a path you seem to be having a hard time understanding.
