My father who recently turned 65 is being withheld his social security benefits due to being overpayed approx 5 yrs ago, at which time an agreement with
the SS people was made for him to repay it at
25.00 per month.
When he filed in Sept of this year, he was informed by the SS people that his social security would not be withheld. Now this week he has been informed that
it will be withheld until the end of 1999.
Can someone offer us some advice on how to fight this?
