You have touched THE dilemma, precisely on point.
What you write here was my reason for adding "[sic]"
to The New Amendment.  I believe Congress must act
to straighten out this mess, otherwise courts will
continue to presume that these "amendments" were
lawfully ratified.  Of course, the final decision
belongs to the several States of the Union, and
three-fourths of them, at that!
